This is a well maintained ocean front house with pool. Open, spacious upper level main living area. Second den on middle level is a nice feature. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, lots of comfortable seating both inside and outside. Adjacent to pier. Homeowner and manager responded quickly to all our questions and issues. Kindred Spirit provided a nice vacation retreat for our family.

My family and I had a wonderful experience at Kindred Spirit. It was the perfect place for our family of 10 to come together and visit for a week. The pool was nice for the little kids that we didn’t want swimming in the ocean. The ocean was so close for the bigger kids to boogie board and swim. The 2 outdoor showers were great for not spreading sand everywhere too. The general store and swim shop were conveniently located to the house next to us…as well as the ice cream shop. The views from the porches were amazing. The kitchen was laid out nicely with a big working island and large pantry. It also was well stocked for cooking large family dinners. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer place to stay and will probably be visiting again next year. The town is also very quaint and laid back. Perfect for a week of relaxation….

The house was perfect! Plenty of space for everyone with all the amenities. It made it so easy coming from across the country with and 8 month old! Thank you for helping to make our family vacation a success.

From the time we reserved this home until the time we checked out our experience was nothing but 5 star. House, location, attentive owner….everything was spot on. We had three little ones ages 2, 2 1/2 and 5 and the provided extras for them were great, their own table, gate for the staircase, booster seat all were used. The kitchen was well equipped, we made use of the grill several nights and even bought fresh local seafood and did a low country boil one night. God willing, we plan to do it again next year.

The location and views from this house are wonderful. The layout inside is nice as well and they really set you up for a wonderful stay. We did have an issue upon arrival where we had dirty sheets and towels waiting for us. We didn’t get clean ones until after 9:30 at night. After traveling all day and many in our group wanting to shower or head to bed, we couldn’t as we had no towels or sheets yet. Being told “we are busy” just wasn’t cutting it when we had reported the issue around 3pm. The owner was aware and admitted she forgot to place the order. She tried to help as much as she could. It was a frustration on day 1, but certainly didn’t ruin our trip. This was truly a great place and we would stay again in a heartbeat. I already miss the decks there as we spent a ton of time sitting out there. In fact, on our last day, I sat down on the couch in the family room and realized it was the 1st time I was even in that room all week. Our time was spent on the decks, at the pool and at the beach. The public beach access next to the house made for great people watching. We recommend going to Beaches and Cream, they have the best ice cream. Main Street Grill was good too. Thanks Debbie for some great vacation memories!

This was the best experience our family has ever had with a vacation home!!! The decor was beautiful and was so well equipped. Absolutely go to the house first before you stop at the grocery store – the house had cleaning products in ever bathroom, kitchen and even laundry detergent. There were spices in the kitchen, foil, etc. The owners were very responsive when we had questions. Our family hopes to go back yearly!!!

Immaculate property that shows both the pride of the owners and their desire to accommodate their guests. Debbie was very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. As other reviewers have noted, the house and kitchen are well equipped and I can’t think of anything that we would liked to have had that wasn’t already there. Drinking morning coffee on the deck, listening and watching the waves, and enjoying the weather made for a great stay.

Nine of us stayed at this beach house and had a wonderful time. The house is very well decorated and rooms a good size. My grandchildren loved the pool and the beach. I loved the porches with rocking chairs as I sat and relaxed watching the ocean. Kitchen is very well stocked with open space looking into dining area and den. Debbie and her husband were great to work with. I would recommend this house!

We had a wonderful family vacation to Holden Beach! Kindred Spirit is a beautiful home. It was very clean and well stocked. You can’t beat the location either! Loved the private pool steps away from the beach. Convenient walking to the General Store, pier, and ice cream shop. We were a little nervous when we saw there was a camping area directly next door, however, did not have an issue at all with noise. We had an issue with the pool becoming green and cloudy. We notified the owner who immediately took care of it. Our only complaints are the refrigerator does not get very cold and the grill was a mess and the charcoal was all over the ground when we arrived. Overall, I highly recommend Kindred Spirit for your next vacation. We definitely plan on staying there again!

There’s nothing different I can say about this place. As everyone else has stated, this home is just beautiful. Pictures don’t do it justice. Debbie was so great to work with as well. Everyone talks about how well stocked this kitchen is, but I have 2 requests: a griddle pan (we had to cook pancakes in the frying pan) and more storage containers (for leftovers or cut up fruit etc). Other than that, the kitchen was definitely well stocked. There were plenty of beach toys in the closet as well. Along with round pool floats, boogie boards, etc. It was very clean. We met a couple of the cleaning ladies as we arrived and they were SO VERY PLEASANT and they did a great job. This was our first visit to Holden Beach and I certainly hope it’s not our last. Thank you, Debbie, for opening your home to us!

I cannot recommend this house enough. It was absolutely perfect for our needs. The house is really well equipped and in really good condition. We stayed there for two weeks in late May/early June and the weather was great. We used the heated pool everyday with our young kids and played on the beach in the afternoons. The landlord is super nice and will help with any issue whatsoever. We will definitely come back!!!

We took our Grandchildren to stay at this home the week of 9/18/15. We found the home extremely satisfactory for all our needs and were well surprised at all it offered. The kitchen was well furnished and layout of such was very nice. The entire home was well decorated, clean, had a great arrangement and great views. The pool was great for all to enjoy. The house was well maintained and adequate for all we desired and the numerous games, etc. for the kids to use was wonderful. I would recommend this home and will stay again. Debbie was great at answering all our questions on a very timely bases.

We took our 10 month old son to the beach for the first time and had both sets of grandparents staying in the house with us. This was the first vacation for all of us together and it could not have been better. We had more than enough space that we didn’t feel crowded in the house. Every couple had their own bathroom and bedroom. The house was perfectly located with the best view, beach access, minutes to the grocery store, walking distance to a cute ice cream shop. The house had EVERYTHING! So nice having baby needs there such as the high chair, baby gate, pack n play and changing table. We had our pick of beach chairs, pool floats, beach toys and more. The kitchen is stocked…really well stocked for cooking and entertaining dishes. Working with Debbie was great! She was very quick to respond and was kind to work with us and our confusing date requests and changes. We were very impressed with the gorgeous house and heated pool and would love to try and stay again!

My husband and I and our 3 year old and 9 month old just had a wonderful week at kindred spirit. As others have said, the house has everything you need, especially if you have small children ( pack and play, high chair, booster seat, kids books, Legos, pool and beach toys). The heated pool was fantastic ( my 3 year old learned to swim using swimmies and gained confidence jumping in all by himself over the course of the week) and we loved hanging out there when we’re done hanging out on the beach ( which was steps from the house). The view from the deck was absolute perfection, sunrises and sunsets were enjoyed daily. The kitchen has everything you need to cook whatever you’re in the mood for. We grilled on the charcoal grill a couple of nights, went to the seafood market and cooked a fresh clam sauce one evening, and there was even a griddle for us to make pancakes for breakfast. We went food shopping at the food lion which is 5 minutes away, so convenient. The house itself is quiet and peaceful, the beds are comfy ( our kids slept great which is not always the case). Debbie was wonderful to work with. Overall we were totally satisfied and plan to return again.

Our family of 5 (kids aged 5, 4, and 17 mos.) stayed at Kindred Spirit over Spring Break and could not have asked for a better vacation. For starters the owner is phenomenal to work with and she made sure that everything went smoothly for us. The house is absolutely perfect for a family. It had everything you’d need to make sure that you didn’t have to bring “everything but the kitchen sink” from home. I cannot say enough about how well the kitchen was stocked. In many instances while on vacation it crosses my mind at least once that “I wish I had . . . in the kitchen” that is most certainly not the case in this house. The heated pool was amazing and we were in it multiple times every day. Having the beach just steps away was such a convenience for a young family like ours and it was perfect for searching for shells. We even saw a few Jellyfish washed up on the beach during the stay !! An Ice Cream shop steps down the beach and the grocery store and restaurants within a few minutes by car made this trip so easy and very enjoyable !! Coffee on one of the 4 porches is an absolute MUST !!!

This was our second time staying at this home. It is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy family. The pool was convenient and great for taking a break from the beach!! The views are amazing from the decks. The kitchen has everything you need to have lovely meals for large families. I would highly recommend this home for your next vacation!!
